Job Search Tip of the Week #116: Your Energy Counts

Good Morning,

Tomorrow is the first day of school for my daughter…where did the summer go?  She is excited and totally energized meet her new teacher, see who is in her class and of course to see all of her old friends.  Here energy and outlook are just where they should be as she embarks on this new journey. During your job search your energy really counts and should be at a high level.

Tip of the Week: Your Energy Counts

I am not talking about bouncing off the walls, speaking a mile a minute or shining a 1000 watt smile all day every day.  I’m referring to making sure that you are YOU.  When you get into that interview room you have to put whatever issues you may be going through to the side.  Employers can sense your energy and if it is not in line with what they want to bring into their company then you are not going to get that job.

What do I always say?  You have ONE opportunity to make a first impression so make it a lasting one.  You have to go in there with the confidence that this interview is the one that you are going to nail.  You have to believe that you are the right person at the right time for the position.  You have to be the YOU that you were before you found yourself looking for a new job.

It may not be easy but if you can do it you are going to get the job you want!  So get back to being YOU and go get that JOB!

Have a great day and an even better week!
