Job Search Tip of the Week #67: Getting the Offer U Want in an Employers Market!

Welcome to Hump Day!

Half way through the week and half way through the 6th straight day of Job Search Tips.  Here is Tip of the Week (day) #3.

Tip of the Week (Day 3): Getting the Offer U Want in an Employers Market!

My client Aminah was offered a job (2 weeks ago) but the total package wasn’t what she was looking for so she asked for more.  Yesterday they called her and said they would like to bring her in to interview for a higher position with more $$$!  What’s the old saying, “ask and you shall receive”?

Yeah, but in truth had Aminah not communicated her value in a clear and concise manner, quantified what her previous successes would mean to her new employer and asked for the opportunity they would not have considered her for a higher role.

If you, like Aminah are able to do those three things you are going to be able to get the offer you want in this employers market.  Let us show you how to do it email us info@articulate-u.com and we will get you hired!

Have a great day and an even better week!

* After yesterday’s Tip on Area Codes…I received a number of messages from job seekers who don’t want to give up their old phone numbers.  If you fall in this category I would suggest that you do one of two things- get a second line with a local number or add a Google Voice line again with a local number.  Google Voice is free and can be directed to your current line seamlessly so employers think they are calling a local phone number.
